もともとは、バクマイ病院の1診療科（熱帯感染症科）でしたが、2008年に1つの病院として独立して、現在の名称になりました。そのため、病院建物は、現在もバクマイ病院の敷地内に建てられています。新病院の建設が進められており、2015年ごろを目途に市街から30分程度離れた場所に移転する予定となっています。ACCは、病院内の一室を事務所として借りており、現地スタッフ1人が常駐しております。ここを中心拠点とし、研究活動を行っています。2007年にスタートしたHIV感染患者の治療コホート研究では、2010年現在までに500人以上の患者をエントリーし定期的なデータフォローアップを行っています。HIV感染の治療成績のほか、薬剤耐性や治療に関する副作用のデータ解析を行っています。
Founded in 1911, the National Hospital of Tropical Diseases (NHTD) is a leading hospital with researching, training and treatment for tropical and infectious diseases in Vietnam. NHTD is also as a consultant unit care for Ministry of Health promulgating national guideline, legal officer in Tropical and infectious Diseases.
Nowadays, National Hospital of Tropical Diseases has become a modern hospital with 280 beds, new achievements of medicine, new synchronized equipment, lab of biomedical system with national and international standardize and high quality staff. In near future, NHTD will be built a new hospital with 1000 beds scale.
NHTD has recorded great achievements in public health care and gained the prestige from the Vietnamese people and high appreciation from international friends. Through many famous epidemic as SARS, flu H5N1, H1N1 (2009), NHTD has been reach the Labor Hero Reward and many certificate of merit. NHTD has contributed training medical staff for Infectious and tropical branch.
In addition, NHTD as a member of network research in West – ASIA: Collaboration with NCGM, PEPFAR, TUFF, Welcome Trust, OUCRU etc.
HIV program has just implemented in Vietnam, in this national program NHTD is care and treatment national sub-committee. With support of NCGM, PEPFAR, CDC, etc NHTD built up strong and effect care and treatment program.
With the assistance accorded by NCGM, since 2007 we have collaborated with research “the monitoring drug resistance HIV-1 in patients on antiretroviral therapy in Hanoi” signed to 2015. Especial, with this research, HIV/AIDS patients have monitoring, evaluating resistance drug and bring high effect for National program on care and treatment HIV/AIDS.
バクマイ病院は、1911年にフランス統治政府によって建設された歴史ある病院で、現在ではベトナム北部地域の拠点病院です。もともと、バクマイ病院と国立国際医療研究センターとはJICAの医療専門家派遣を通じて深いつながりがありました。2005年以降、結核・インフルエンザ・エイズなどの研究を行っており、2010年には正式に病院間での協力協定が結ばれました。熱帯感染症科がバクマイ病院の1診療科であった時代には、HIV診療は熱帯感染症科で行っていましたが、前述のように熱帯感染症科がNHTDとして独立したため、2009年10月からバクマイ病院感染症科でもHIV感染者の診療を開始しております。HIV感染患者の増加に伴い、コホート研究の必要性が増してきたため、平成23年度を目標に新たなコホート研究立ち上げを行っている最中です。歴史ある総合病院で、HIV感染に伴う様々な合併症に関する研究を行うことを目的としていく予定です。
ベトナムの南部に位置するホーチミン市にある熱帯感染症専門病院です。1862年に開設された歴史ある病院で、現在ではベトナム南部の熱帯感染症を一手に引き受ける基幹病院となっています。ホーチミン市街から車で20分ほどの場所にあり、年間約1000人もの新規HIV感染者を受け入れております。ここでは、現地医療スタッフと共同で、2008年度に抗HIV療法開始前患者のHIV耐性サーベイランスを行いました。これらのデータをベトナムの診療ガイドライン作成などに反映できるような活動を行っていきたいと考えています。
